Chennai police have arrested eight suspects in connection with the murder of Tamil Nadu BSP president K. Armstrong. The murder is believed to be a retaliation for the killing of gangster Arcot Suresh. The arrested individuals, identified as Ponnai Bala, Ramu, Thiruvengadam, Thirumalai, Selvaraj, Manivannan, Santhosh, and Arul, were tracked using mobile tower data and CCTV footage.
All eight suspects belong to the Kuravar community. They are set to be produced in court on Saturday. The arrests mark a significant development in the investigation, as authorities continue to piece together the events leading to Armstrong’s murder. The case highlights the ongoing gang rivalries and violence impacting the region.
