Hyderabad: The Young India Police School (YIPS) in Manchirevula conducted a draw of lots on Thursday for admissions to the upcoming academic year.
Due to an overwhelming response and a high number of applications, the school committee implemented a lottery-based admission system to ensure transparency. Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand oversaw the draw for various classes and personally handed over admission letters to parents.
Each class at YIPS offers 40 seats, with 20 reserved for children of uniformed service personnel and 20 for the general public. The event was attended by the principal, parents, and senior police officials.
With the admission process now complete, YIPS is set to welcome its first batch of students across multiple classes. The school will be officially inaugurated by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in the first week of April.
