Six policemen attached to the Vakola police station have been transferred to a side posting as provisional punishment on Saturday after allegations were made against them for assaulting two activists of Bajrang Dal, who had gone to the police station along with a minor girl to file a molestation case against a member of another community.The six policemen, who faced action, are identified as assistant inspector Shivaji Shinde, probationary sub-inspector Achyut Naikare, head constable Suresh Madhgundi, constables Dyaneshwar Shinde, Pradeep Mistry and Arvind Raut.
