To enhance policing and ensure accessibility across the Union Territory, the J&K Police registered four e-FIRs in different districts of the Jammu region on Saturday.
An e-FIR was lodged at Poonch police station under Section 137(2) of BNS regarding the missing/abduction of a girl child from her residence. The complaint was filed via email by the Project Coordinator, Child Helpline Poonch. Despite sustained efforts, the whereabouts of the girl remain unknown.
In Jammu district, two e-FIRs were registered at Satwari and Bahu Fort police stations. The Satwari police registered a case under Section 303(2) BNS based on a WhatsApp complaint from Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Lower Gadigadh. He reported that his motorbike, parked opposite Shambhave Ice Cream Parlour, Gadigadh, had been stolen.
