The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has assumed responsibility for investigating the disappearance of Nisha Bharti, the 17-year-old daughter of police constable Rakesh Kumar Ranjan. Nisha went missing on September 29, 2023, while returning home from an institute on Gola Road. Despite extensive investigations by the Bihar Police, including the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT), her whereabouts remain unknown after 18 months. Following a petition by her father, the Patna High Court directed the CBI to take over the case.
