As Hyderabad prepares to welcome the New Year, the city police are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring safety and smooth celebrations for residents and visitors alike. With massive crowds expected to gather at popular venues, the Hyderabad Police have announced a comprehensive security plan, deploying 63 checkpoints across the city to maintain law and order.
Deployment of Checkpoints 63 checkpoints have been set up at key locations, including major roads, popular party venues, and public gathering spots. These checkpoints will be monitored to regulate traffic, prevent drunken driving, and ensure that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas. Strict Monitoring of Traffic and Drunken Driving Police have intensified efforts to curb drunken driving, with designated squads patrolling major roads and ensuring compliance with traffic rules.
Random breathalyzer tests will be conducted to ensure motorists are not under the influence of alcohol. Surveillance & Crowd Control In addition to the checkpoints, drone surveillance and CCTV cameras will be deployed to keep a close eye on the crowd and ensure that social distancing protocols, due to the ongoing pandemic, are followed. Deployment of Additional Personnel Over 4,000 police personnel, including traffic officers, constables, and senior officers, will be stationed at key areas across Hyderabad to ensure a safe and secure environment. Emergency Response Teams Quick response teams have been activated to respond to any emergencies, ensuring swift action in case of any untoward incidents.
The police have urged the public to cooperate by adhering to safety protocols, avoiding crowded areas, and not engaging in any unlawful activities. They have also requested revellers to celebrate responsibly, especially in terms of alcohol consumption and noise levels, to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens.
