Three individuals were arrested in Telangana’s Adilabad district on July 7 for cultivating and trafficking cannabis in Mediguda and Kothapalli villages within Gadiguda mandal. The seized cannabis, valued at Rs 3.30 lakh, led to the apprehension of Madavi Mohan, Madavi Bapu Rao, and Yenne Vaijunath, who confessed to both growing the illicit crop and smuggling it for profit, according to Utnoor DSP Nagender.
In a separate incident in Khammam, Afzal Hassan, the district president of TNGO, reportedly attempted suicide by consuming a significant amount of sleeping pills. He was promptly hospitalized and placed under observation for 48 hours due to his serious condition.
