In Hyderabad’s Koti area,
Sultan Bazar police, in collaboration with the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB), apprehended a ganja peddler and two medical students during an attempted drug sale based on a tip-off. The peddler, identified as 38-year-old Suresh Singh, was caught with 10 sachets of ganja weighing 80 grams and two cell phones. Singh, employed at a dairy farm in Indiranagar, Gachibowli, is a repeat offender in drug-related offenses since 2016.

Acting on information, police intercepted Singh as he attempted to sell
ganja to the medical students. Subsequent urine tests confirmed the students’ consumption. Police also indicated that several other medical students were regular customers of the peddler. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings, identifying four students thus far, with efforts ongoing to identify additional suspects.
