The Mumbai Crime Branch Unit 1, operating under Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar police, has dismantled an interstate drug manufacturing syndicate, seizing significant quantities of Mephedrone (MD) and raw materials across Telangana and Uttar Pradesh. In a coordinated operation, 15 individuals from various states were apprehended, and authorities confiscated MD drugs worth Rs 327 crore.

Additionally, one pistol and 33 live cartridges were seized during the raids. Allegedly orchestrated by underworld figure Salim Dola, an associate of Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, the gang operated with financing and raw material support from Dola, who remains at large. The investigation, triggered by a tip-off, began with the arrest of suspects Shoeb Menon and Nicholas Tait in Mira Bhayandar, leading to further arrests and the discovery of drug manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad and Narsapur
