In a targeted operation based on confidential intelligence, authorities apprehended 11 Bangladeshi nationals, including six women with their children, at Agartala Railway Station in Tripura, India. The individuals were attempting unauthorized entry into India from Bangladesh with plans to travel onward to Bengaluru and Kashmir by train, according to Tapas Das, Officer-in-Charge of the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Agartala.
The case has been registered at the Agartala GRP Police Station and is scheduled to be presented before the magistrate on Wednesday. The arrested individuals, hailing from various regions of Bangladesh, highlight the ongoing challenges in border security and immigration enforcement between India and Bangladesh.
