Telangana’s Director General of Police (DGP) Ravi Gupta recently unveiled new initiatives aimed at educating the public and guiding police officials on three new criminal laws now in force. Gupta launched informative posters in both English and Telugu, which will adorn police stations throughout the state, outlining the new regulations.
Additionally, he introduced a detailed handbook outlining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for law enforcement under these laws. This manual features 43 SOPs and 31 proformas, designed to standardize investigative procedures across Telangana. Gupta highlighted that all state police officers have received training on the new laws, with the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) updated to support the legal changes effectively
