A gang operating in Goa has been accused of duping around 500 tourists by listing non-existent villas for rent through online portals. The fraudulent listings enticed tourists with attractive offers and photos, but upon arrival, the villas did not exist.
The scam caused significant distress to the tourists, many of whom had already paid deposits for their stays. Goa Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and four individuals have been arrested for their involvement in the fraudulent scheme.
