In a significant operation by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Police Sub-Inspector Husen Shah was arrested on January 15, 2025, in Chandrapur. Shah was caught accepting a bribe of ₹50,000 from a local transporter. The sub-inspector had allegedly demanded a total of ₹380,000 to facilitate the recovery of dues from a tendu leaf trader.
The ACB acted on a complaint and laid a trap to catch Shah red-handed. This case underscores the ongoing issue of corruption within law enforcement and the ACB’s efforts to address it. Citizens have been encouraged to report instances of bribery to the ACB to ensure transparency and accountability.
