On January 5, 2025, Jaipur Police uncovered a large-scale cheating operation involving 14 individuals who had been assisting candidates in a central government recruitment exam. The group, consisting of both candidates and external facilitators, employed innovative and illegal techniques to guarantee successful candidates.

Central to their scheme was the use of ‘solvers’—individuals who provided the correct answers remotely—and sophisticated screen-sharing software that allowed the cheaters to follow the exam live while receiving real-time answers from external sources. This scandal not only tarnished the integrity of the recruitment process but also underscored the growing problem of exam cheating in competitive environments.

The arrested individuals face charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act and various other provisions related to cheating, fraud, and conspiracy. The police have also seized devices used for cheating, such as smartphones and laptops.

Jaipur Police’s timely intervention aims to ensure that those involved in such dishonest practices are held accountable, sending a strong message to deter similar activities in the future. Authorities are now working to ensure that the affected exams are either voided or re-evaluated to maintain fairness.
