Dr. Rashini Yengkhom, MPS, the Superintendent of Police (SP) for the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Crime Branch, has been appointed as the Nodal Officer for updating and monitoring acid attack cases in the National Commission for Women’s (NCW) Management Information System (MIS) Portal.
This important appointment reflects a proactive step in strengthening the response to acid attacks and ensuring proper tracking of such cases across India. As Nodal Officer, Dr. Yengkhom will be responsible for overseeing the submission and regular updates of acid attack cases, which are often high-profile and sensitive in nature, onto the NCW portal.
