UP Police Achieve Major Success in Crime Control and Safety

The Uttar Pradesh Police have made significant strides in enhancing public safety and controlling crime across the state, demonstrating their dedication to tackling illegal activities and ensuring the security of citizens. A major breakthrough came with the targeting of 68 organized crime syndicates that had been operating in the region. This focused operation resulted in the seizure of unlawful assets worth an astounding ₹4,067 crore, marking a substantial blow to criminal enterprises. In addition to these financial victories, the police managed to file 782 First Information Reports (FIRs) and arrest 611 individuals connected to these criminal organizations. These efforts are part of a larger, ongoing campaign to control crime through various proactive measures. Since 2017, the Uttar Pradesh Police have undertaken extensive surveillance operations, covering an incredible 1.75 crore locations across the state. This surveillance has been instrumental in identifying criminal activity and bringing perpetrators to justice. As a result, the police have filed 1.89 lakh FIRs and made 6.81 lakh arrests. Among the significant achievements of these operations is the seizure of 27,495 unauthorized weapons, which has helped reduce the availability of firearms to criminals. Furthermore, police efforts to curb illegal activities in the liquor trade have led to the confiscation of 32.86 lakh liters of illicit spirits. These actions represent the Uttar Pradesh Police’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding public welfare, dismantling criminal networks, and ensuring law and order throughout the state, contributing to a safer and more secure environment for all its residents.
