Odisha Police has been placed on high alert in the wake of possible security threats ahead of the upcoming DGP conference. According to State Director General of Police (DGP) Sunil Bansal, the forces are closely monitoring the situation and taking preventive measures to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.
The DGP conference, scheduled to be held soon, aims to review the state’s security preparedness and address concerns related to internal and external threats. Bansal emphasized the need for heightened vigilance, particularly in areas near critical infrastructure, border regions, and urban centers.
“Odisha Police are well-prepared to handle any potential security challenges. We have directed all district police units to remain alert and take necessary precautions,” said DGP Sunil Bansal.
Odisha Police are focusing on intelligence gathering, surveillance, and deployment of additional personnel in vulnerable areas. Special attention is being given to crowded public spaces, religious gatherings, and sensitive installations to ensure safety.
With intelligence inputs pointing to the possibility of threats, authorities are deploying anti-terror squads, bomb disposal units, and communication surveillance teams to monitor suspicious activities.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has assured citizens of Odisha that the state government is committed to maintaining peace and security. “We will leave no stone unturned to safeguard our citizens,” Patnaik said while addressing concerns raised during the DGP conference preparations.
The increased vigilance comes in the wake of rising security concerns across the country and amid heightened scrutiny of state policing systems.
The Odisha Police’s heightened security alert aims to ensure the safety of citizens and prevent any untoward incidents. Authorities are committed to strengthening the law enforcement framework, emphasizing coordination between various security agencies.
