Delhi Police successfully busted a major narcotics syndicate operating in the capital, seizing drugs worth Rs 1 crore and arresting three alleged members. The operation was carried out by the Special Cell of Delhi Police, who received crucial intelligence inputs about a network involved in the supply of contraband.

According to the police, the arrested individuals were key players in the syndicate responsible for distributing high-quality narcotics across Delhi-NCR. The gang was reportedly using sophisticated methods to conceal and transport the drugs. After receiving specific information, police teams carried out multiple raids in different parts of the city, leading to the recovery of various types of contraband including heroin, cocaine, and synthetic drugs.

A senior police officer stated that the operation aimed to dismantle the entire network, which had been operating for a significant period. “We had been monitoring their activities for some time, and these arrests are a major breakthrough in our efforts to curb the drug trade in Delhi,” the officer said.

The seized drugs, with an estimated value of Rs 1 crore, were hidden in various parts of the city. Authorities believe that the gang had established a large distribution network, supplying to both local users and across neighboring regions. The police have intensified their efforts to track down other members of the syndicate who remain at large.

Furthermore, the three arrested suspects have been charged under various sections of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act. They are expected to face strict legal action. The police also emphasized their commitment to continuing operations to disrupt such illegal networks and ensure stricter enforcement against drug-related crimes.

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana has reiterated the department’s zero-tolerance policy towards drug trafficking. “Our aim is to break the backbone of these syndicates and ensure that Delhi remains free from the scourge of drugs,” he said.
