In a shocking incident, a grenade attack targeted a police patrol party in the Maniyal Gali area of Thanamandi Tehsil in Rajouri district. According to sources, the grenade was hurled at the police team but landed a short distance away, preventing any casualties. Fortunately, the personnel escaped unscathed due to the distance of the explosion.
Following the attack, security forces swiftly launched a large-scale joint search operation to track down the perpetrators. The operation is being conducted by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Security personnel are scanning the area to ensure the attackers are apprehended at the earliest.
Authorities have intensified surveillance and deployed additional forces to prevent any further security threats in the region. Investigations are ongoing to identify those responsible for the attack.
