Jalandhar, March 18, 2025 – The Punjab Police have arrested Hardik Kamboj, the prime suspect in a grenade attack targeting YouTuber Navdeep Singh Sandhu‘s residence in Raipur Rasulpur Panchayat, Jalandhar. The attack took place on March 16, but the grenade failed to detonate, averting a potential disaster.
Police Operation and Arrest
Following intelligence inputs, the police launched a recovery operation to track down Kamboj. When confronted, the accused attempted to flee and opened fire on the police. In response, the officers engaged in an encounter, during which Kamboj sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. He was overpowered and taken into custody.
Weapons Recovered
The police recovered a .32 bore pistol and six live cartridges from Kamboj. Authorities believe the suspect has links to criminal networks and are investigating further to determine whether he acted alone or had accomplices.
