A man was arrested after the body of a staffer for the Indian National Congress was found stuffed in a suitcase on a highway over the weekend.
Sachin alias Dhillu, 30, was taken into custody by police in connection with the killing of 22-year-old Himani Narwal, according to the and haryanstory It’s unclear if he has entered a plea or retained an attorney to speak on his behalf.
Narwal’s body was found stuffed in a suitcase left near the bus stop on the Rohtak-Delhi highway in Sampla, India, on March 1, citing police.
The investigation led authorities to Dhillu, a Facebook friend of Narwal, in less than two days. The phone shop owner is accused of using a cell phone charger to strangle Narwal after an argument about money, director general of police (ADGP) Krishan Kumar Rao said at a press conference cited byThe Haryana Story, Times of India and Tribune India.
Dhillu also allegedly stole Narwhal’s phone, laptop and jewelry before dumping her body, Rao said
