The Uttar Pradesh Police, along with personnel from the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and the Fire Department, have played a crucial role in reuniting lost devotees with their families at the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.
With millions of pilgrims gathering from across the country and around the world, the event presents a significant challenge in crowd management and public safety. Despite the overwhelming number of attendees, law enforcement officials have worked tirelessly to ensure that lost individuals—many of whom are elderly or first-time visitors—are safely reconnected with their families.
Special help desks, mobile police units, and a dedicated team equipped with modern tracking technology have been set up across key areas of the Kumbh Mela grounds to assist lost devotees. Additionally, announcements via public address systems and social media updates have helped locate missing individuals. Pilgrims from over 20 states in India and more than 15 countries have benefited from these efforts.
