Last week, the Ladakh Police organized a specialized training program dedicated to improving the skills of investigating officers in handling cases related to women’s safety. This initiative was designed to equip law enforcement personnel with advanced knowledge and practical techniques to address crimes against women more effectively.

The training covered various aspects, including legal provisions, victim-sensitive investigation techniques, forensic evidence collection, and psychological support for survivors. Experts from the legal, medical, and law enforcement fields were invited to conduct sessions, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.

By enhancing the investigative capacity of officers, this program aimed to strengthen the justice system’s response to crimes such as domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Additionally, it sought to encourage a more victim-centric approach, ensuring that survivors receive timely assistance, protection, and legal support.

The Ladakh Police reaffirmed their commitment to creating a safer environment for women by integrating modern investigative methods and fostering greater awareness among officers. This training marks a significant step toward ensuring justice and security for women across the region.
