The graduates of the Gummadidala mandal had stayed away from the Adilabad-Karimnagar-Medak and Nizamabad- graduate MLC election held on February 27, protesting against the government decision to set up a dump yard at Pyaranagar village.
Only 14 per cent of the 295 graduate voters enrolled under Gummadidala polling station (polling station 425) had exercised their franchise.
