In Telangana, voting commenced at 8 a.m. for three MLC constituencies: one graduates’ constituency and two teachers’ constituencies. The polling will continue until 4 p.m. A total of 56 candidates are contesting in the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar graduates’ constituency, 15 candidates in the corresponding teachers’ constituency, and 19 candidates in the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda teachers’ constituency. Notably, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has opted out of these elections, leading to a direct contest between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the graduates’ constituency.
