The Delhi Police Mounted Unit has selected seven horses to participate in the 43rd All-India Police Equestrian Championship and Mounted Police Duty Meet scheduled to be held in Panchkula next month.
The event, which features 32 games played by horses and their riders, is organised every year by the Equestrian Federation of India. While the championship was held at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy hyderabadlast year, in 2023, it was organised at the BSF Training Centre at Tekanpur in Gwalior.
According to a police officer, the event starting on March 10 will conclude on March 25 at Indo-Tibetan Border Police’s Training Centre in panchkula. As many as 23 teams of central armed and state police forces will participate in it.
