Major Arms Cache Found in Remote Jammu & Kashmir Hideout

Security forces have uncovered a significant terrorist hideout in the remote reaches of Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district, according to officials who announced the find on Saturday. A specialized operations group from the Jammu and Kashmir Police led the operation in the Simbli-Shajroo forest near Chakrass in Mahore area.

The site inspection resulted in the recovery of four under barrel grenade launchers (UBGLs) and a variety of arms including one full and three empty AK assault rifle magazines, 268 rounds of mixed ammunition, and four packets of detonators.

No arrests have been reported yet in connection to the armaments discovery, as police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this arms stockpile.
