A former Panchayat Development Officer from Yellapur in Uttara Kannada district, accused in multiple cheating cases, has been arrested after evading authorities for two years. The officer had fled the country, reportedly hiding in the UAE and Sri Lanka, to escape legal proceedings. His arrest follows a prolonged investigation by Karnataka police.
