The Haryana Police, under the leadership of the Director General of Police (DGP), has intensified its anti-drug campaign, instructing all Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy against drug peddlers and suppliers. Special task forces have been deployed to identify and dismantle drug supply networks. The crackdown includes increased border security, surprise raids, and digital tracking of narcotics trade. The government is determined to root out drug-related crimes and protect the youth from substance abuse.
Apart from enforcement, a strong emphasis is being placed on rehabilitation and counseling for those struggling with drug addiction. Collaborating with de-addiction centers, NGOs, and healthcare institutions, the police are working to offer treatment programs and psychological support. This comprehensive approach aims not only to punish offenders but also to reform affected individuals and create a healthier society.
