Special Director General of Police (Law and Order), Arpit Shukla, conducted an extensive review of arrangements in Jalandhar, focusing on bolstering surveillance in crowded areas such as markets and malls.
In Amritsar, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), Surinderpal Singh Parmar, directed officials to deploy additional forces and utilize modern equipment for ‘nakabandi’ (checkpoints) and anti-sabotage operations. These efforts aim to ensure a secure environment for citizens during the celebrations and deter any potential threats.
