During recent security reviews, Punjab Police interacted with kite vendors across the state, urging them to stop selling Chinese plastic kite strings, also known as “Chinese manjha.” These strings pose safety hazards and are banned due to their harmful impact on both humans and the environment.
Shopkeepers were advised to comply with safety regulations and report any illegal sales. Police have assured strict action against violators to ensure public safety during the festive season.
