In a significant breakthrough, Punjab Police dismantled a cross-border drug and weapon smuggling cartel. Twelve individuals, including five from Jammu and Kashmir, were arrested during the operation. The police seized 2.19 kg of heroin, three sophisticated pistols, and Rs 2.60 lakh in drug money.

The cartel was led by Manjeet Singh, alias Bhola, who maintained direct contact with Pakistan-based smugglers and received contraband through drone operations. This action underscores Punjab Police’s commitment to tackling drug-related crimes and cross-border threats.
