In a bid to enhance clarity in rank identification, the Haryana Police have announced changes to their uniform policies. This move will affect personnel stationed at district headquarters, police stations, and outposts. Key changes include alterations to the color of caps used by various ranks. Inspectors, sub-inspectors, and assistant sub-inspectors will no longer wear blue beret caps, distinguishing them further from other ranks.

The Director General of Police (DGP) issued directives for these changes on October 28, 2024, with implementation expected within a week. This uniform overhaul is aimed at creating a more professional and streamlined appearance for Haryana Police personnel while fostering a sense of pride in their duties.
