In a bid to reduce road accidents and improve road safety, the Jharkhand Police recently launched an extensive traffic enforcement drive across key districts. The primary focus of the operation was to crack down on drunk driving, speeding, and violation of traffic signals. In just two weeks, over 2,000 traffic violations were reported, with several drivers arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The enforcement drive also targeted high-accident zones in urban areas and on national highways, where the risk of fatal accidents is higher. Police have urged citizens to adhere strictly to traffic rules and avoid dangerous driving practices. As part of this initiative, the state government has promised to invest in road safety infrastructure and enhance awareness about safe driving.
