On January 15, 2025, Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for the new Ghatlodia Police Station in Ahmedabad. This modern facility is designed to enhance police service delivery in one of Gujarat’s busiest areas.
The new police station will feature a variety of advanced amenities, including basement parking for 930 vehicles, two lifts, an open garden, water harvesting systems, solar rooftops, and electricity backup. These upgrades aim to improve the working environment for police personnel, making it easier for them to serve the public effectively and efficiently.
The construction of this police station is part of a broader initiative by the Gujarat government to modernize law enforcement infrastructure across the state.
With the growing urbanization of cities like Ahmedabad, there is an increasing need for state-of-the-art facilities that not only enhance the effectiveness of the police force but also provide better services to the public.
