In a continued push against drug abuse, Jharkhand Police have intensified their anti-drug operations, resulting in the registration of 788 cases and the arrest of 1,362 individuals involved in drug trafficking. The operations, which span multiple districts, have led to the confiscation of large quantities of narcotics, including 1,407 kilograms of opium and 18.29 kilograms of brown sugar.
In addition to drug seizures, the police have eradicated poppy plant cultivation from nearly 4,000 acres across the state, significantly reducing the raw material for narcotics production. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to make Jharkhand a drug-free state and to protect the health and well-being of its citizens. The crackdown on narcotics is also expected to disrupt the financial foundations of drug syndicates operating in the region.
