The 40th edition of the Nagaland Police Sports-cum-Duty Meet culminated on November 20, 2024, at the NAPTC Grounds in Chümoukedima, marking yet another successful celebration of athleticism and professional excellence. The prestigious event witnessed the participation of various police battalions competing across multiple disciplines. Among them, the 12th NAP (IR) Battalion emerged victorious as the overall champions, excelling in both ‘Duty’ championships and being named the ‘Best Discipline Team.’
The event was attended by dignitaries, including Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer. In his keynote address, Longkumer highlighted the growing challenges of cybercrime and online financial fraud, emphasizing the need for robust policing and community awareness. This event served as a platform not only to foster camaraderie among officers but also to reinforce the significance of fitness and discipline in law enforcement.
