As of 2024, the Haryana Police Department continues to play a pivotal role in maintaining law and order across the state. In August 2024, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) announced the recruitment of 5,600 police constables (male and female) through a Common Eligibility Test (CET).

The online registration for this recruitment was conducted from September 10 to 24, 2024. Eligibility criteria included a 10+2 education and proficiency in Hindi or Sanskrit. The selection process involved a Physical Measurement Test (PMT), a Physical Screening Test (PST), and a knowledge test with no negative marking.
