As of March 1, 2024, the Delhi Police Department had a sanctioned strength of 94,249 personnel, with an actual strength of 81,702, resulting in a vacancy of approximately 13,000 positions.

In early 2024, the Delhi Police announced the recruitment of 7,457 Constables (Executive) to address these vacancies. The recruitment process included a Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) and Document Verification (DV), with results declared on January 24, 2024. A total of 8,883 candidates, including 3,513 females and 5,370 males, participated in the PE&MT and DV.
