On January 8, 2025, a routine police raid in Jalalabad took a violent turn when a group of villagers, armed with sticks and rods, attacked a police team. The police team also reported that their official documents and mobile phones were forcefully snatched during the incident.

In the aftermath, a case has been registered against ten individuals who were allegedly involved in the assault.
