On January 8, 2025, East Agartala Police successfully carried out a crackdown on illegal gambling, resulting in the arrest of six individuals. Acting on credible intelligence, a special team from the East Agartala Police Station set up an ambush near the Railway Station in Jogendranagar, a known hotspot for gambling activities.
The police operation led to the apprehension of six gamblers, who were caught in the act, with a significant amount of cash and gambling equipment seized from the scene.
