In an effort to raise public awareness and promote community safety, the South District Police of Goa, in collaboration with Goa Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Block Ponda, recently organized educational sessions on critical issues such as cybercrime, drug abuse, and crimes against women.

The sessions aimed to equip residents with knowledge on how to protect themselves from these growing concerns and encourage responsible behavior in society.

The awareness drive covered a range of important topics, including the dangers of cybercrimes like online scams, identity theft, and harassment. Participants were also educated on the harmful effects of drug abuse and the legal consequences of being involved in such activities. In addition, the police and experts spoke on how to recognize and report crimes against women, focusing on prevention, legal rights, and available support systems for victims.

By conducting these sessions, the police and community leaders aim to foster a sense of responsibility and cooperation among citizens in preventing crimes and promoting safety.

The initiative was well-received by the public, with many expressing appreciation for the proactive approach to ensuring safer communities. These sessions are expected to continue as part of ongoing efforts to educate and protect the public.
