In a significant move against digital crime, the Jharkhand Police have reported the arrest of 971 individuals in 2024, all involved in cyber crimes. These arrests reflect the state’s unwavering commitment to tackling online fraud, hacking, data theft, and other cyber offenses.In response to the growing concern over digital crimes, Jharkhand Police ramped up efforts by forming specialized cyber crime units in multiple districts.
The state police collaborated with national agencies and IT experts to identify and apprehend criminals involved in fraudulent online activities.
Among those arrested, many were involved in large-scale online scams, including phishing, identity theft, and credit card fraud. The police’s extensive cyber crime crackdown not only resulted in numerous arrests but also saw the recovery of stolen data and money, further showcasing their effective approach to combating cyber threats.
