Over the past two years, Gujarat Police have made substantial progress in combatting drug-related crimes, seizing drugs worth an estimated ₹5,956 crore.
This impressive haul was part of an operation targeting drug trafficking networks operating in the region, resulting in the arrest of 48 foreign nationals involved in smuggling. The drugs seized included high-value narcotics like heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
The police’s continued focus on dismantling international drug cartels and preventing illegal narcotics from reaching local markets highlights the state’s commitment to safeguarding public health and security.
With the rise of drug abuse and related crimes, this operation is seen as a significant step toward controlling the spread of dangerous substances and ensuring a safer environment for the community.
