In a bid to improve efficiency and support investigators, the Bihar Police have approved the purchase of laptops and smartphones for investigative officers. The state government has allocated ₹60,000 for each laptop and ₹20,000 for each smartphone to be provided to officers.
This initiative aims to improve the technological capabilities of the force, allowing officers to work more efficiently during investigations and reduce delays in case management.
The decision comes in light of the increasing reliance on digital tools in law enforcement, with more investigations requiring access to computers, databases, and communication networks.
The new equipment is expected to help officers better track and analyze evidence, as well as facilitate communication between departments and other law enforcement agencies.
