In a significant counter-terrorism operation, the Assam Police have arrested two terror suspects and recovered a large cache of arms, preventing what is believed to have been a major terrorist act. The Assam Police acted on intelligence inputs indicating the presence of armed terror suspects in a safe house located in a remote part of the state. “The swift action of our team has helped prevent a significant terrorist incident. The weapons seized indicate a well-coordinated plan to carry out an attack,” said Inspector General of Assam Police, Sandeep Mishra.
