Andhra Pradesh has intensified its efforts to combat the menace of narcotics and drug abuse. The state government has launched a multi-pronged approach, encompassing:

  • Intensified Enforcement: Special operations are being conducted to dismantle drug trafficking networks, apprehend drug peddlers, and seize illicit drugs.
  • Community Awareness: Extensive awareness campaigns are being conducted to educate the public, especially youth, about the dangers of drug abuse and its consequences.
  • Rehabilitation Programs: The state is focusing on rehabilitation programs for drug addicts, providing them with necessary support and counseling for recovery.
  • Inter-agency Coordination: Strong coordination is maintained between various law enforcement agencies, intelligence units, and other stakeholders to effectively combat drug trafficking.

These efforts aim to create a drug-free society by disrupting drug supply chains, preventing drug abuse, and providing effective rehabilitation services to those affected.
