The West Bengal Police have arrested the eighth suspect from Nadia district in connection with a major passport racket busted earlier in 2024. The racket, operating under the guise of offering visa and passport services, allegedly involved the forgery of documents and the issuance of fake travel documents to illegal immigrants.
Authorities claim the group targeted rural residents and offered them fraudulent schemes promising quick access to foreign travel. “We are determined to root out such networks and ensure justice for all victims,” said a senior police official. Further investigations are ongoing as authorities work to bring the entire racket to justice.
