In a major crackdown on illicit liquor, Andhra Pradesh Police have seized a huge cache of illegally produced liquor, valued at an estimated Rs 50 lakh. The authorities acted on a tip-off regarding a large-scale illegal liquor network operating in the state. Police teams raided multiple locations, uncovering thousands of bottles of spurious liquor hidden in secret warehouses.

The Operation

The operation, which took place in various districts, uncovered illicit liquor meant for illegal sale in the local markets. The police found the contraband alcohol in hidden godowns, and several suspects were arrested in connection with the smuggling and distribution network. Alongside the seized bottles, the police also recovered equipment used for producing the illicit liquor.

According to police reports, the seized goods were worth around Rs 50 lakh, highlighting the scale of the illicit operation.
