Following the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Delhi Police has stepped up security measures around the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to ensure public safety and maintain order.

Increased Security Presence
Authorities have deployed additional personnel, including plainclothes officers, at key entry and exit points around AIIMS to prevent any untoward incidents and manage the influx of visitors. The heightened security is aimed at ensuring the safety of both AIIMS staff and the general public.

Concerns regarding public gatherings and potential security threats have led the police to establish barricades and maintain strict monitoring of the area. Delhi Police has also requested visitors and well-wishers to follow security protocols and avoid causing any disruption.

While arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth flow of visitors, authorities have urged people to cooperate and avoid crowding AIIMS premises, allowing a peaceful environment to prevail. Delhi Police is also conducting regular checks and surveillance to ensure the safety of those gathered.

The former Prime Minister passed away on December 27, 2024, at AIIMS, where he had been receiving treatment. His passing has drawn numerous leaders, supporters, and well-wishers to the hospital to pay their respects.
